David Miles Huber has been nominated for the Best Surround Sound Album for his work on Chamberland: The Berlin Mixes.
David is a four-time, Grammy-nominated producer and musician in the electronic dance and surround-sound genres, whose music has sold over the million mark. His style combines lush beats and live acoustic instruments to create a “Zen-meets-Tech experience” that’s rich, enticing and energizing. Dave is also widely acclaimed in the recording industry as a digital audio consultant, author and guest lecturer on the subject of digital audio and recording technology. In addition to Modern Recording Techniques (Focal Press), he’s written such books as The MIDI Manual (Focal Press) and Professional Microphone Techniques (Cengage).
Richard King has been nominated for the Best Engineered Album, Classical for his work on John Adams City Noir and for the Best Engineered Album, Non-classical for Bass & Mandolin.
A multiple Grammy award winning recording engineer, Richard King is associate professor and chair of sound recording at McGill University. He is also part time-faculty at Banff Centre and a member of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Music, Media, and Technology.
Richard is the author of the forthcoming How to Record an Orchestra and Other Classical Music Ensembles (Focal Press 2016), which is part of the “AES Presents” series.
